This game is very boring. Ok before i start my rant let me tell you i didn't expect much at all from this game. I rented it as it sounded kinda fun but i just could not bare to sit through more than 3 races... Its just so damn boring.. And the free roam has no point to it... Driving around pointlessly i can do in burnout paradise. And the enviroment there is much nicer with sharper graphics... Give this a rent if your heart is set on it but otherwise just avoid...

Although many claim this game is very shallow and boring, and that it lacks realism, many fail to realise that this game never intended to achieve that in the first place. Fuel is set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, which happens to be the size of Ireland (Guinness World Record for biggest game map), which is a diverse map spanning from desert wasteland to snowtrenched mountains. The races in the game handle very simply, most of the effort being put into holding the trigger and very very occaisionally breaking, but the fun comes in not just passing the AI, but taking a completely different, offroad route to your goal, whatever it may be. The offroad capabilities in this game are superb and can be very rewarding. There is a huge variety of vehicles which are all reasonably customisable, and the variety in the game modes is big enough not to get boring too quickly. The races at the start seem impossibly easy, but towards the mid stage in the game, things can seem rather challenging.

If you're looking for a straight out realistic racing game, don't bother with Fuel, but if you want a detailed post-apocalyptic arcade-style racer, which is fun and satisfying to play, then atleast rent it and try it out, as there is very little to lose and much to gain in doing so. Cheers guys.

Nick

What a let down this game is. After promising so much it falls way short of what it could have been. I was bored after a hour or so..... Quantity over quality me thinks.

I really love this game, yes there are a few glitches but the off-road experiences and the huge world make this game amazing.

It's like marmite

You love it or hate.. I love it, one of best games I've played!

I was looking forward to this game despite a few bad reviews but I really should have listened to others. It is one big snore fest and a huge disapointment.

Although the game is huge and you can go anywhere, there is just no point. The collectables are a waste of time and take a decade to reach and the races are just a matter of keeping your finger on the trigger and steering.

Despite its openworld, go anywhere design the races are also very linear in the vehicle you have to use and the path you should take.

Has huge potential but falls very short.
