AVOID!!! If you liked Order of the Phoenix, avoid this: it's really, really bad! The graphics are rubbish, particularly the characters, and the voices are not the original cast! You can't go and explore the castle as and when you want to and don't have a broom to fly around either! The only things you do in the game really are duelling (boring!) and potion-making (even more boring!) and there's no Marauder's Map to guide you; instead Nearly Headless Nick tells you exactly what to do and shows you the way to get there! Rubbish! After Order of the Phoenix, I was expecting a lot from this game, but it's one of the worst ones I've ever played. I finished it in no time at all and never ever want to play it again which is really saying something!!! 0/10!

harry potters most boring year

I have just spent 2 afternoons playing this game on the ps2 and its done now its going into the kids game box, whys that i hear you ask well basically the graphics are almost as bad as in the first two games on the psone ( even i didnt think that was posible), it is very slow going , there is way too much time spent on unnecessary dueling and potion making ,not once do you get to get stuck in to a good old fashioned wizard fight you spend most of your time walking around the castle trying to find ......... well nothing really. The only good things i can think about this game are the spells are easier to learn and it is easier to go through doors. (oh and the mini crests do look cute)

My kids did not think much of this game, they said it wasn't as good as all the others. They had it completed in a day. If you are fairly new to the world of the PS2 then this is quite a good game, as it is easy to use and follow. Don't take my word as gospl though, rent it and try for yourself
