Rated - 5 starsA masterpiece of seething rage.

Albie Kinsella - driven mad with grief by the death of his father begins a one man campaign to avenge the Hillsborough disaster - 96 murders for each death.

This is a truely terrifying look at the nature of violence and the media in early 90s Britain. Robert Carlyle is brilliant as the alternatively frightening and sympathetic Albie and Christopher Ecclestons death scene is still genuinely upsetting all these years later. Meanwhile Robbie Coltrane holds centre stage as the shambolic alcoholic Fitz and the whole thing is held together by a kind of rough humour. This was probably the most important episode of Cracker and although Albies methods obviously can't be condoned the stories questioning of how the media represent certain people is still challenging today. Watch this and realise how shallow most on screen violence really is.

Rated - 5 starsSick of Morse... try this

Robbie Coltrane's best known role, sees him playing an alcoholic, chain smoking Criminal profiler Fitz, who's marriage is falling apart and is hated by his bosses, so straight from the mark, definitly not another "Inspector Morse"!

In the first of the Cracker Case's, which sees Fitz helping investigations, into the killing of a Pakastani Shop Killer, which is first put down, to a Race related murder, while Fitz realises that this is much more!

Cracker is definitely one for fans, of "the Vice" and like their crime thrillers dark, especially if your sick of all the Morse clones!

Also Featuring early appearances of Robert Carlile and Ricky Tomlinson.

So what's good here - excellent performances all-round, my home city, great story, social and psychological comment, Christopher Eccleston and a sense of hope in the future of British drama. This is adult drama that will stay with you for a very long time. A memorable moment to savour for those watching for the first time.

What a Fantastic Drama Cracker was!!!

Wish we could have more drama like this!!

This episode is brilliant...Carlyle is great in this very scary(I think anyway)...If only people would have listened to him. So easy to send someone over the edge, couldn't help feeling a little sad for him...

But hated what he did to those he felt had wronged him...

All the Cracker series are a must see!!!
