Brief synopsis of Prime Suspect 4 - Inner Circles

This highly-acclaimed series by Masterpiece Theater continues to break down social stereotypes with the Inner Circles episode. A manager of a country club in an affluent London suburb is murdered and local police and the community are all too happy to blame the youngsters in a neighborhood housing development. Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison (Helen Mirren), as ever, keeps an open mind as she overcomes precinct stonewalling and general elitism to get to the truth.

even if you watched it first time round on tv this is still one of the better prime suspects. helen mirren never fails to dazzle keeping the character real, without becoming just another women fighting against prejudice she leaves this to all the hangers on in her wake.

The 'Prime Suspect' dramas are never short of a good storyline. Ever since I saw Tennison 'put away' George Marlow in the first one, I have been hooked.

Helen Mirren is a brilliant actor who plays her part extremely well, and supported well by the rest of the cast. My only gripe with this edition, is that a different actor plays the part of George in prison.

Not as long as older film in the series, nevertheless this film cannot come more highly recommended.
