Brief synopsis of Freddy's Nightmares - Vol. 1

Just when you thought it was safe to sleep again... one, two, Freddy is back, and he's coming for you! Robert Englund reprises his role as the menacing slasher star of teenager nightmares, Freddy Krueger, in this NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET spin-off television series, FREDDY'S NIGHTMARES. This collection features three horrifying tales (No More Mr Nice Guy, It's a Miserable Life, and Killer Instinct) that are sure to keep you up at night.

Based on the Nightmare movies, Freddy's Nightmares The Series starts by telling the story of how Freddy became who he is in the movies. That's followed by episodes which don't necessarily link into the film, they're mostly Freddy's Nightmares. There's 3 episodes on the disc (more volumes are to follow). The special features aren't that special, just the legacy of Freddy, telling you the back story. Rent this disc if you're curious but I wouldn't recommend buying it.

A little disapointing but fun to watch. Even though this DVD has an 18 certificate it felt more like a comedy than a horror film as if wasn't like any where as good as the 5 movies.

A DVD to watch if there is nothing else left that is not available on your prioity list.

If you thought that nothing could really get worse than Freddy's Dead:the Final Nightmare, than luckily you're right. This isn't much better though. Strangely enough the worst episode is the Tobe Hooper directed origin story of Freddy. It's the biggest reason for renting this, but is also the biggest disappointment. However the stand alone tales of a fast food employee and a track star are really quite entertaining in a Tales from the Crypt kind of way.

Well what a disappointment! This can only be said to be a waste of your own good time and that you could be watching an Elm street movie which would actually keep your eyes on the screen rather than being closed! Quite honestly, this is Terrible!
