Brief synopsis of Night At The Golden Eagle

Donnie Martemarano stars in this gritty lowlife tale as Tommy, a small-time criminal pushing 60 who has just been released from jail. His old running buddy, Mic, meets him at the prison, tells him that he's gone clean, and takes Tommy to the Golden Eagle, one of L.A.'s most down-at-heel hotels. There, he tells Tommy his plan to head to Las Vegas and lead a law-abiding life. Unfortunately, Tommy is uninterested. Fresh out of jail, Tommy immediately finds himself a hooker at the hotel and, in a harrowing sequence, murders her out of rage, putting himself and Mic in great danger.

Rated - 4 starsAn unexpected suprise!!

Didnt really know what to expect with this one. Got it as it had James Caan in, but it's more of a cameo. Really enjoyed it. Tale of two friends meeting again, one who's just got out of jail and the other who's been straight. Their plan is to head to Vegas and they only need to stay one night in the Golden Eagle hotel, which is frequented by prostitutes, destitutes and a whole host of freaks.

Some excellent moments in the film and shot magnificently.

Watch it, you might well be suprised!!

Rated - 1 starsBrain-numbing film!

Vinnie Jones must've been having a bad day when he agreed to star in this film. The description of the film made it seem quite similar to 'lock stock' - I couldn't have been more wrong! Storyline is weak, characters are pathetic, if you're looking for a good film, don't get this one!

Rated - 4 starsUnusual and quirky effort

If action-packed thrillers are your bag then this one's not for you. It's a beatifully filmed snippet of life in a dilapidated hotel over one night. Full of peculiar characters and sordid goings-on. Small budget cinema at its finest.

Worth watching once, bit boring to start with but gets ok. Overall a good film, if it up your street.
