Despite Joshua Logan's stodgy staging, this sumptuous screen version of the Arthurian musical by Lerner and Loewe still pierces the heart in Excalibur fashion. Having strained to watch most of this movie i eventually gave in. This is terrible. all the main cast do their best with the material but this musical of one of the finest medeival tales dosen't go anywhere to impress.

i lost interest very quickly. but the snow effects are good and the songs are actually quite nice.

I enjoyed this very much as a child but watching it again the other day..it looked tinny and dated. The songs are well known but they stretch to rhyme a bit and it is very sentimental.Lancelot is awful!!

Ive watched this film a few times and without fail love the begining and then get bored and do something else.

Its such a shame because the performance from Richard Harris is truly wonderful.
