i never did get to read the second book of this trilogy and after seeing this i was certain i had missed out.

the battle sequences are just jaw dropping and massive is not a big enough word to describe these visual delights.but its not just the action and SFX that make this a supurb achievement. We all thought that Jackson may have had a fluke on the first one.how wrong we were.

the largely untested main characters again deliver superior performances and make us feel like we should be there suffering with them.

possibly a little too much camera panning for visual landscape effects but it is a pretty country after all.

extremely violent for its 12 rating (my daughter found it quite cringy at times) and very long, almost three hours, its a marathon of a film.

Can't wait for return of the king!

Rated - 5 starsThe Two Towers - Extended Edition

A customer from Cambridge , England , 17/07/2004

The extended edition is the film as it should always have been !

The extra footage makes the events of the defeat of Saruman and the unfolding of events with the Ents and Huorns much more believable.

Rated - 5 starsWhy Should I be interested in this DVD?

A truly excellent film. The follow up to FOTR is definately worthy of the title 'Lord of the Rings'

Probably the most challenging to put on screen with no real beginning or ending. Neverthless Jackson persues his passion with precision for classic battle scenes (Helms Gate), and Gollum introduced his self as the better competition to tackle Yoda!

Need I say anymore.... YES!

Amazing! Brill! Spectacular! I can't understand why anyone could fail to love these films. The Extras are great, chapter selection, language and audio will suit anyone!
