Farscape being a high budget sci fi series is great and end of season 1 disk 10 is great. The characters have been developed all through this series and rigel is absolutely a comic genius. Deffo the best disk of season 1, cant wait to see the next season.4/5 stars

Farscape is one of the best Sci-Fi series I have seen in a long while. The constant high standard of the writing constantly suprises and amuses. All steriotypes are thrown out of the window with the main protagonists given all too 'human' failings. This is no utopian vision of the future a-la Star-Trek, it is dirty and dark, and is far fresher for it. Even the standard faire plotlines are always given enough of a tweak as not to feel stale. I cannot recomend this series enough!

Rated - 2 starsExcellent show - poor DVDs

I still think this show is totally amazing. Muppets do Star Trek doesn't do it justice! However I'm reviewing the DVDs here - and that's where the problem lies. They're presented with only TWO episodes on a disc - very poor indeed. Secondly, the picture quality is absolutely awful - it seems even though there are only two per disc, they've been compressed as much as they could be. Farscape deserves better.

Rated - 5 starsFAR AWAY FARSCAPE

This sci-fi series is a classic in it's own right.

What can I say, great actors, great stories, excellent make-up and special effects for a tight budget series.

Definitely worth watching.

I was blown away when I first saw this pilot and since then I've made an effort to see all the episodes they've made.

It s just another scifi show, yes, but its also more than that.

It's for the large part original - one thing I love that makes it rank above Star Trek, especially with the fact most aliens in farscape actually look, sound and act like aliens - no humanoids with extra knobbly bits on their forehead thankyou.

The premise of a human stuck in space far away from earth may not be entirely original but the execution of that along with all the other ideas makes its a wonderful and energetic show.

The pilot itself is quite fast paced with alot of information to take in but it sets up the rest of the series perfectly and gives a good taster for the Farscape universe and what's to come.

If you're into sci-fi, don't miss this.
