Though I liked both main characters in the now demised Brookside, this was a major disapointment...The lost weekend & Friday the 13th still have it...but the age of video is over...will they ever manage to get to DVD...C'mon Mr Redmond.

Oh no! I'd been looking forward to watching this and it arrived on a Saturday, which was perfect as I used to watch my favourite soap, Brookside every Saturday just before getting ready for a night out.

I watched the extras before the actual Unfinished Business and felt that old excitement come back as I watched snips of action on the famous Close and saw familiar characters, but sadly none of this is in the actual 'movie' - you literally get about 3 quick scenes outside in the Close - most of it is set in a forest and drags on for so long with lots of uneccesary 'flying over trees and lakes' shots.

I missed out a few scenes and still knew what was going on - it was drawn out and crap!

I was hoping for something more 'Brookside', like the one I used to watch, but this was nothing like good old Brookie - to make things worse, sets from Hollyoaks were used (along with one of the actress') and the flat from Hollyoaks looks IDENTICAL right through to the decor and furniture of its Hollyoaks incarnate and the actress (Sarah, who plays Kelly in this and Mandy in Hollyoaks) was also identical to her Hollyoaks character, so it was just like a really unconvincing merge and I found myself just expecting a load of other Hollyoaks characters bursting in demanding to know what the unfamiliar girl who lives with Kelly/Mandy demanding to know what she was doing in their flat!

I know that the Brookside houses were also used in Hollyoaks, but at least they were changed enough to make them 'feel' different.
