Brief synopsis of Jackie Chan's Who Am I?

International action superstar Jackie Chan portrays a secret government agent of the same name who develops amnesia after a plan to assassinate him goes awry. In order to put the pieces of his life back together, he seeks refuge within the confines of an African tribe. From there, he garners the aid of two lovely sidekicks, struggling to regain his memory and expose an international espionage ring before their fiendish plot put the people of Earth in grave danger. Rating of 4 stars out of 5 Radio Times

Jackie Chan's most sensational action scenes of the 1990s, impressive production values and super-slick direction (from Jackie and Bennie Chan), illuminate this little-known movie. Although the plot doesn't bear close scrutiny (something about a top secret energy source, an African tribe and amnesia) the extraordinary set pieces — from a clog-assisted Rotterdam brawl, to a three-way rooftop battle that doesn't relent for nearly ten minutes — rival anything in a megabuck Hollywood blockbuster. Jackie's trademark use of slapstick comedy at the height of the fighting works brilliantly too. Cult status should be just around the corner.

Rated - 4 starsJackie Chan, who else!?

This movie is good, not his greatest, but is definitely up there. He seems to have produced some great movies this year, and 'Who Am I?' has that nice touch of modern movie making to it. The martial art stunts are impressive, especially the fight scene on the roof, and he gives way for other actors to show off their skills.

Overall, a very enjoyable movie with, for once, a more gripping plot than is usual in a martial arts movie.

a good jackie chan movie with out to much mucking about stunts are of couse brilliant and the story line is much improved upon, whereas his latest movie have been atrotious compared to the likes of Mr Nice Guy.

An all round good movie.

One of Jackies better efforts from the nineties. In this one he plays a Special Forces man who survives a double cross, but can't remember who he is. A fine mix of comedy, car stunts and fantastic fight sequences - The rooftop fight is one of his best - this is only stopped from being a five star film because of the poor dubbing and lack of extras on the disc.

The stunt at the end when he slides down the roof was, and still is the highest of its kind. If it had gone wrong there would have been no way of surviving the fall.

Rent this one and switch off the mind because the plot does not hold water, but hey, it's as good as any Hollywood Actioner (if not better...)

Rated - 4 starsGreat fun

A customer from Bedfordshire, England. , 12/03/2006

The start of the film is a bit dull & slow moving but it soon picks up and the action sequences are great, especially the car chase in South Africa.

The fights are up to the usual Jackie Chan standard, the best being on top of a building in Rotterdam, Holland.

Well filmed and good soundtrack…most enjoyable.
