Brief synopsis of 24 - Season 3

Three years on, it's time to follow another 24 hours in the life of federal Special Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in this wildly innovative television series. Jack and his colleagues are being blackmailed with the threat of the release of a deadly virus, a Type 3 pulmonary immuno virus. Incarcerated drug baron Salazar's brother is demanding his release but Jack must cope with his own heroin addiction too. Time is running out and there seems to be a traitor in CTU...

Rated - 5 stars24 at its best

This really is great viewing. Usually by the 3rd series tv shows have run out of ideas but this series of 24 is justas fresh as its first. Kiefer is back as Jack Bauer and he has just 24 hours to stop a mad man releasing viles containg a deadly virus all around America. He also has a new partner called Chase plus Jack's daughterKim is now workingat CTU. Plenty of tense action along the way to have you on the edge of your seat as you wait to seeif Jack can save the day once again

Rated - 1 starsJust the extras!

Having loved the entire series of 24, I thought that this was the last few episodes, but it's only extras for die hard fans - lots to sit through if you like that sort of thing, but the show itself is better!

Rated - 5 stars24 season 3

Collin from birmingham , 30/08/2004

Season three starts three years after the events of the second season. A Mexican drug lord sits in jail, put there by Jack. His brother arranges to blackmail the US Government with the threat he will release a bio-weapon that will kill millions if they don't release him. Palmer seeks re-election to a second term, with a dodgy chief of staff, and a girlfriend who may not be telling him everything he needs to know. Will Jack survive this day? Or will it be his last...

The biggest strength of 24 is its ability to be unpredictable

Rated - 4 starsUndiluted '24' Action

Please do not be put off by the fact that 24 is striding into it's third season with poor old Jack Bauer still having the worst day of his life! Disc one introduces new charachters and also neatly ties up the loose ends from Season 2. The punchy real time drama effect is not as good as season one, but this is perhaps because as a format it is no longer unique. And for a series set over six discs the good news is that it holds and intensifies its grip on you, the viewer, as the clock ticks away!
