Rating of 3 stars out of 5 Radio Times

A typical Gallic tale about the romantic triangle that forms between timid executive Yvan Attal, art restorer Charlotte Gainsbourg and the indolent Charles Berling. While fitfully amusing (particularly during Berling's visually inventive pursuit of his friend's wife), this is essentially a rather sad story. However, uncertain pacing hinders director Marion Vernoux's movie, and it's an overfamiliar scenario that's been explored more successfully in the past — especially in the classic Jules et Jim.

We only watched the opening scenes and decided it was for young things and not old fogeys like us. Sorry but you can't have 5 star films all the time!
