RelatedCritics ReviewsMichael Winner is a man who obviously loves the movies, and as a producer is capable of assembling major players in promising material. As a director, however, he's no great shakes, and invariably sabotages his own films by doing his own editing and by relying too much on the zoom lens. This is an authentic-looking, tough western — filmed on location in Durango, Mexico with a distinguished cast and a fine screenplay by Englishman Gerald Wilson — that is totally destroyed by inept timing and a clumsy, ugly visual style.
