Brief synopsis of The Grey Zone

Based on the real-life events and featuring a first-rate ensemble cast, this compelling and harrowing film chronicles a unit of Auschwitz's Sonderkommando, a special squad of Jewish prisoners, who staged the only armed revolt that would ever take place at Auschwitz.

Rated - 5 starsExcellent Film - A must see

Spook from Swaffham, Norfolk. , 02/06/2008

Grim viewing, realistic, well acted and gripping. A very thought provoking and moving film. A must see as it brings home sharply the appalling crimes committed by the Germans and the unimaginable conditions in the camps. It is virtually unbelievable what took place which this film tries sucessfully to depict. It is beyond comprehension the work undertaken by the inmates, even though of course they were forced. See it yourself.

THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT FILM. THE STORYLINE WAS GOOD, AND THE SCENES QUITE REALISTIC, HOWEVER HARVEY KEITEL AS THE GERMAN OFFICER, MUST GO DOWN AS THE WORST CASTING I HAVE EVER SEEN, EVERYTIME HE TRIED TO TALK GERMAN WITH AN AMERICAN SLANG (AS THEY ALL DID) I JUST BURST OUT LAUGHING. THERE WAS NO TENSION, EVEN THE GAS CHAMBER SCENES HAD NO HORROR. I DO LIKE THESE TYPE OF FILMS, BUT THIS WAS IM AFRAID VERY POOR.
