Based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, this is the story of the rise and fall of one of America's most enduring sex symbols - Marilyn Monroe. It follows her from her abusive childhood, through her turbulent marriages to her constant need for security and love.

Rated - 3 starsAn OK Film, that skirts around the final issue

Nothing wonderful here. It's clear that Norma Jean was brighter than she was obliged to show to the world. However too little attention was given to the links with the Kennedy brothers and their involvement with her final days.

Rated - 3 starsNot a great film, but told the story well enough

I've seen better acting and the director could have done a better job too, but overall the story was reasonably well told. No wonder Norma Jean was mixed up! I still don't know if she died by her own hand. Certainly others were not without blame, trouble is there was just too many. Pity more wasn't made of the Kennedy brothers involvement.
