A really good action/drama and comedy show.It has a wonderfull cast and an interesting fact they actor playing the englishman higgins was in fact an american, but he really pulls of the accent well.

The moments when magnum is trying to outwit higgins are magic.Try and see the whole series right to the last epsiode as it is well worth the ride.

They managed to mix drama and comedy just right.

In the last episode we found out? that higgins is robin marsters.

Give it a try.

Rated - 3 starsOne of the better American 80's cop shows

The tongue-in-cheek humour is good, the acting is generally bad, and most of the plots do have a twist - some you can see happening a mile away.

The good guys drive European 'imports', the bad guys drive gas guzzling american death traps; and interesting view for a change.

I enjoyed this series as a young child, and was fearful that it would have dated as badly as the 'A Team' or 'Knight Rider' (both I can not watch for more than 10 minutes nowadays), but Magnum P.I. actually keeps my interest going.

I would almost say that it is timeless, except for all of the shocking fashion worn in early 80's Hawaii.

I recommend for a good laugh and for the sake of nostalgia. If you have watched the series in the last 5 years I wouldn't bother.

The series has no extras, just the the original series, with its pilot and original theme tune.

I used to watch this in my childhood and thought it was ace, I’ve bought the Boxset and still think it’s ace. Magnum is a mixture of action, humour, drama, and suspense. Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) is a Private Investigator who works as part of a security team in the palatial mansion of millionaire businessman Robin Masters. He regularly has Higgins, TC and Rik help out on his various cases. Best episodes are 'Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii'). Still worth the rental.

The first thing that dissapointed me was the lack of magnum music!! Thats right the famous tune is not in series 1. Tom selleck looking as good as i remember and the stories keeping me entertained.

Would only recommend to die hard magnum fans as the show content is old hat, and as this is series one it takes a long time to get going.
