I have seen this film now about three times (once on 35mm in a cinema, and at least twice on 16 mm showing it at film societies). This was in the 60's and 70's. The cast (Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Basil Rathbone) are lost in a weak script (Richard Matheson) lamely directed (Jacques Tourneur). Everyone connected with this picture has been much better. Every time I've seen this, the audience has been let down.
