Is just me or is it practically impossible to get Priority 1 titles

I don?t know why I bother reserving New Releases - I?ve never yet received one!!

I?m certain the ?awaiting allocation? times are getting longer too!!

Having just caught up with series 2, I felt I had to watch the first series.

This was certainly no let down, thoroughly enjoyed it. A must see for all who missed it.

Rated - 5 starsThe Best British TV Series In Years

MarkGreetham from Worcs , 01/04/2005

Firstly I have to admit that I didn't see this on Channel 4 - several colleagues have been banging on about this so I thought I'd give it a spin - for what ever reasons I didn't have high expectations.

Simply put this is the best TV series in years. The comedy is subtle and very dark (think Alan Bleasdale - but set in Manchester).

Unlike comedies like The Office that single characters out, every character in Shameless takes on a life of their own - and each performance is outstanding.

There is bad language and sexual references in nearly every episode - but that's just like life, and Shameless exploits these qualtities to the full.

Shameless shows how good british TV can be. Simply fantastic.

Worth every moment - superb acting, great characters and top notch humour. The 2 extras are short but fun (interesting to see Paul Abbot interview).
