I've only seen this in Japanese because when I wrote this it is still not avalable in the UK (21st March 2005).

It follows a farmer boy student living in the City. Poor and out of touch with this modern world he finds a persicon (Computer that looks and acts like a girl) and gets into trouble as he trys to teach it to fit into the BIG CITY.

At first I thought this was a typical Japanese pervy school girl type series but as the series went on it actual gained a story line. And by VOL 3 I was hooked.

Rated - 5 starsTotally enjoyable

Chobits has become one of my favourite animes due to the way that it develops the characters in such a pleasing way and the incredible animation (based on the manga). The first disk is a very good introduction to the series and has loads of unforgettable moments that make it a joy to watch. The soryline is basic but very well thought out and will get you hooked by disk 2. If this series doesnt give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside then there is something wrong with you :-)

Rated - 5 starsCute! Cute! Cute!

We were a bit worried when we rented this as the intro was a bit girlie. However, it was completely the opposite, totally capturing the mindset of a young adolescent college student. He's a total pervert but in a very cute and endearing way. Graphics are good as is the music. The story hooks you from the very beginning and we bet you any money that you will want your very own 'persocom', especially ones that look and act like Sumomo! Sumomo rocks! Aye!

Rated - 4 starsNot bad...

This is another anime that would be best appreciated by existing fans, I think. It is hampered by a lazy dubbing which removes or changes much of the meaning of the Japanese dialog, or provides an inaccurate translation. Chobits is far better if you can understand the original language.
