Rating of 2 stars out of 5 Radio Times

Anthony Michael Hall's career started slipping the minute he started losing his geeky teenage looks, and this was one of his failed bids to relaunch himself as an action star. It's still worth a look, though, if only for a smarter-than-usual premise. Hall is the pampered Hollywood star researching a new film role who is reluctantly taken under the wing of maverick air force ace Michael Paré. Soon the pair find themselves caught up in a real-life war. There are shades of the similarly themed comedy The Hard Way in the beginning, although the film degenerates into Rambo-style clichés once the stars are caught behind enemy lines.

Rated - 1 starsI didn't know anyone made films this bad

If i could give this film a negative star rating i would. Possibly one of the worst films i've ever seen, very badly written and directed, with a storyline so incomplete, staying awake during this film was a challenge.

Rated - 4 starsGood Movie for a Seagal fan!

VivC from Essex , 14/04/2005

Some people say that Seagal has lost the plot now & should quit, & sure some of his movies are a bit naff, but this one is pretty watchable.

It definately helps though if you are a fan, which I am so I guess I'm a little biased.

So all in all, rent this if you like Seagal, if not then go for another action movie.

Rated - 1 starsAwful, awful, awful

I will give you an idea of how interesting this film is - my husband (who was a Stephen Segal fan) fell asleep watching it about 35 minutes in. IT IS AWFUL!!!!! Apart from the fact that 75% of it is in Japanese for no other reason than for Stephen Segal to try to look clever, Mr Segal looks and acts like a 400 year old, overweight, idiot trying to play it cool. If he was your dad you would just die with embarrassment, including having to put up with his dyed hair and appalling dress sense.

Don't waste your time, the postman's time or the electricity watching this one. I would sooner recommend ironing than this. IRONING!!!!

You don't expect much from a Steven Segal film other than a bit of mindless violence. This film however, hasn't even got that. Without a doubt one of the worst crimes ever commited to celluloid - avoid like the plague !
