Rated - 4 starsBatou is even more complicated than you think

A customer from London, UK , 10/09/2005

I've been watching the GITS SAC series in order and think that episode 1 of vol.3 is probably the best so far. Very dark and quite gruesome compared to previous episodes and it was the 1st time that i really started to consider batou as the main character of the whole series. He really is a complex man/robot/cyborg. Obviously part of team, yet he operates to his own agenda and doesn't seem to be able to be swayed from what he considers to be the right thing to do. It feels odd to like and admire him but i guess this is the skill of the whole GITS committee coming through in the way they construct these episodes. PS the tachikoma 'extra' at the end of epsiode 1 of vol 3 is great (you are watching right to the end of the credits and realise there are these gorgeous little tachikoma re-enactments at the end...right?!?!?!)

I hope they are not decommissioned!

Rated - 3 starspretty but dull

Tom Sales from Leeds, England , 25/08/2005

this series doesn't seem to take off at all, with a script that sounds like a cross between dawsons creek and star trek (with a bit of matrix revoloutions thrown in) it can't really contend with it's origins. it is watchable, but won't get your pulse going
