RelatedCritics ReviewsEric Idle, the class clown par excellence in many Monty Python sketches, is mistakenly allowed to roam free here as both star and scriptwriter by director Robert M Young, who should have boxed him in tight. Had the other participants (Rick Moranis, perfunctory; John Cleese, lazily crazed; and Barbara Hershey, who seems to know she's miscast) been similarly reined in, Young might have been able to deliver a focused comedy. Odd moments do resurrect the barmy surrealism so familiar from Python, but on the whole this is a rather disorganised comedy.
