Brief synopsis of The Wedding Date

Single-girl anxiety causes Kat Ellis (Messing) to hire a male escort (Mulroney) to pose as her boyfriend at her sister's wedding. Her plan, an attempt to dupe her ex-fiancé, who dumped her a couple years prior, proves to be her undoing.

Rated - 4 starsGreat film

If you love your comedy chick flick films then this is for you. Starring Debra Messing as the single lady and Dermot Mulroney as the escort she hires to go to her sister's wedding as her ex is going to be there. This is a very predictable film but a fun one all the same. You don't need to be a Will and Grace fan to see this but if you are you'll love to see Debra in something different

This film was fabulous, I rented it and decided to buy it after one viewing. The acting is spot on and desite a sometimes sad story line this film has you on a constant feel good vibe. The comedy is flawlessly delivered be it a witty line of a facial expression, does't hurt that the male lead smoulders his way through the film.

CHICK FLICK NOTICE : IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS FILM YOU MUST RENT IT!

I don't know what I can say about this film. It's one of those films where there isn't much to tell. Not good and not bad. Worth watching on the cheap but I watched it at the cinema and to me, it was a waste of money. Guess it's okay for a boring, wet weekend in-doors.

Rated - 5 starsBrilliant Movie

flyinfree77 from dundee , 23/08/2005

I thought it was a brilliant movie, if you have ever been a single girl going to a family occassion then you could totally understand where it comes from. It had modern day problems and solutions for the age old problem. It makes you wonder all the movie if love will conquer all or if modern society will win over everything.

If you like a good romantic comedy then this is the one to watch. Typical plot, however very good and funny. An ideal film to watch of an evening with a bottle of wine and company.
