Brief synopsis of Pursued

Vincent Palmer (Christian Slater, TRUE ROMANCE, HEATHERS, CRUEL AND UNUSUAL) takes his job as a corporate headhunter very seriously--and literally. In order to wrangle a 'yes' from his prospect, he's willing to go to any extreme, whether monetary, material, or just plain threatening. Ben Keats (Gil Bellos, ALLY MCBEAL) is happy as an executive at Viztrax, and continuously refuses Vincent's efforts to lure him to a rival firm. Palmer steps up his efforts, expanding his repertoire of tactics to include badgering, violence, and terror. But when the psychotic recruiter with a million dollar retainer threatens to kill Keats' wife and young daughter, Ben realizes what he's dealing with, and decides to fight back. Also starring is Michael Clarke Duncan (DAREDEVIL, THE GREEN MILE).

As an avid Christian Slater fan I have to say I was quite disappointed with this film! Slater doesn't suit this type of role as it doesn't do him or his acting ability any justice! The film was fairly predictable & generally quite slow. I also felt the story line was rather far fetched. It's watchable if there is nothing else you would rather be watching!

Original storyline (crazy murderous business head hunter willing to do anything to get his man) but even a pretty good display by Christian Slater didn't really save the movie. Worth a watch but don't expect too much!!

Rated - 2 starsrecruitment gone mad

Worth a watch for anyone that has dealt with recruitment agencies. Christian Slater's well played character may seem very familiar to them, and in this respect as long as its treated with humour the film is ok and easily worth a watch. Indeed, we found it very funny. Take it seriously and it would be quite tedious however.

Christian Slater always seem's to pick the same type of character i.e. a bit off the edge and a squint in one eye.

The story is quite feasable but none of the character's seem to capture the viewers emotions. Worth watching for the storyline but not the actors'.
