National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 on DVD (1992)
RelatedCritics ReviewsThis bid by the National Lampoon team to cash in with some Naked Gun-style spoofery lacks the brainless invention of the latter films, but still manages to score quite a few laughs. The Lethal Weapon series is its main target, with Emilio Estevez taking over the Mel Gibson role and Samuel L Jackson standing in for Danny Glover; a badly miscast William Shatner and Tim Curry are the villains of the piece. There's more fun to be had in watching out for the cameos, with appearances from the likes of Denis Leary, Charlie Sheen and JT Walsh, as well as James Doohan — Star Trek's Scotty — and the CHiPs pair of Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada.
