It is my opinion that the fouth series of Blackadder is the greatest. With word play, inuendo and a little slapstick thrown in this series is arguably the greatest of all British comedy series.

Aswell as being unrelentigly hilarious, the six episodes deal with moving and relevant issues about the first world war. No sit-com has since ended on such a moving and serious note.

Blackadder has to be up there in the top ten of great British comedy sit-coms along with ?Dad?s Army?, ?Faulty Towers?, ?Open All Hours? and the like. You can?t get more nearer to perfection than this; almost every line written is a gem. Like the aforementioned shows, the Blackadder series will continue to make audience?s laugh in the future for as long as there?s a format to view them on.

Hilarious from start to finish, from Blackadders sarcasm thru George's stupidity all the way to Baldricks insanity, a masterpiece from start to finish

Best of the lot in my opinion. The end of the series had much more of an impact than even the writers had planned/hoped. A classic.

Make the BBC re-record these DVD's and give them the proper quality they deserve.

These episodes will go down in the comedy vaults of history as some of the best stuff ever produced and the beeb have issued them with all the quality of a market copy.
