Rated - 5 starsGreat Fun - keeps the kids quiet its that good!

I like the drawings of the characters and presentation of the Charlie and Lola show - but at the end of the day its the kids opinion that counts and our kid loves it!

We know that she loves it as she sits down and watches it quietly! :-p

So if you have a kid and want them to sit down quietly then put on Charlie and Lola and watch them do what you always want them to do! lol.

Good storylines and friendly show - even I get caught up in it sometimes :-p.

10/10

Charlie is a great example to all 4 to 8(?) year olds of how they should relate to their younger sibling.

Faith groups have long been telling us that they are the people to teach children good moral values but with that comes tribalism and all the other dangerous baggage inherent in a prescribed faith. These simple stories of charlie helping his little sister to develope are free from all that dangerous baggage.

And their also great fun and have bags of [simple] style!!

Rated - 5 starsBetter than anything I remember from my childhood... lucky kids of today!

A customer from Preston, England , 06/03/2006

I work in a bookshop and fell in love with the Charlie and Lola books, not because I have kids, but because they're simply fantastic. The DVD is the same.

The artwork is lovely (I particularly like the way real photos are mixed with drawings) and the stories are wonderful. I appreciate them from an adults' point of view - the characters are funny and realistic little kids and had me in stitches all the way through - but they're probably even better for the target audience (ages 3-8, I'd say) because the stories cover things like not wanting to eat certain foods, being afraid of spiders, wanting a pet dog and so on. The stories always end positively so are nice for helping kids learn about new things and the relationship between Lola and her big brother, Charlie, sets a great example (he's always looking out for her and explaining things).

If you're a parent, get this for your kids - you won't find anything in it that'd teach them bad habits! If you're not a parent, get it for yourself!

This is the only series our 3 year old asks for by name, to watch again, and again, and again, and again, and again...

Stories centre around Lola (who are little'un relates to) and Lola's older brother Charlie, who is always looking out for her.

They both have friends (Lottie and Marv) and these animations usually involve some interactions between all the characters.

Entertaining and moral stories that allow the little one's to learn, even though they don't realise that they are... !

We bought the DVD in the end - £10 at woolworths. worth every penny.

p.s. as of 24th April, its also on BBC1 at 3:25pm weekdays, if you want to 'try' before you 'rent'...
