I just finished reading the book to this when it came on tv. To be honest I didn't enjoy the book all that much, and had only finished it because of reading it for book club, but sometimes films can bring life into a story which can make them better than the book. Not so this one. Way too much narration made me feel as though I might as well have got the audiobook. It also gave the ending away at the beginning, quite annoying if I hadn't read it. I'm giving it 2 stars because i did manage to sit through it (although i was dozing at the end), but I won't bother again.
