Brief synopsis of League Of Gentlemen, The - Live At Drury Lane

The oddball characters from Royston Vasey stop by Drury Lane in this hilarious live performance by the League of Gentlemen. Tubbs and Edward, Mr. Chinnery, Herr Lipp and others create disturbingly funny chaos on the stage for all to witness.

Rated - 5 starsworth seeing even if you've seen all the tv series

I had just rented out all three series on DVD and thought I might be a bit bored with the live show, but not at all. TLOG assume you know all the characters if you're watching the live show and take them one step further. More gags and less drama than on tv, I laughed myself silly. My favourite moment was when Tubbs and Edward floated on high as angels above the ruins of their 'Local Shop'. I giggled most when Herr Lipp was picking out a victim from the audience - 'Don't worry, I made a boy come on stage yesterday'!

Saw this live in Bradford and it was much funnier actually live than on tv. Is a bit slow in places.

Rated - 2 starsNo humor like the TV series or film

Ok, you've seen the TV show, you've seen the film, you want to give this live DVD a try. Same as me then. Not the same. I'm sure it was great for the audience, seeing the hero's on stage etc etc, however, the drama, the gags are missing in the live show. In many cases, they do the favourite scetches from TV again, but live of course. So not even a great deal of 'new' material.

Anyway, I'm sure if your a big fan of the actors, its worth a watch to see them in live action. Just don't expect a live version of what you have seen them do before. It's not like Little Britain Live. Shame

This is decent. Most of the stuff is from the TV shows , but there are a few new sketches.Quite enjoyable. Also a few good extras Big Woman from the radio show is particularly funny. The Cave Guide is my favourite character and i think he should get more air time. Also there is a rumoured LEague of Gentlemen feature film, .

If you like the league of gentlemen. Then you will love this live stage show. Very clever in the way they can put this show together live. Loved it.
