Brief synopsis of Darkwatch

An immersive, story-driven FPS that blends the lawless action of the Wild West with the intense horror of vampire movies In Darkwatch, players step into the role of Jericho Cross, a solitary outlaw wanting to rob a last train rumoured to carry valuable cargo before skipping down to Mexico. Instead, Jericho unleashes Hell on Earth: an ancient vampire Lord who curses him with a bite, then sends out a pulse wave of evil over the American West. As corpses come alive and undead armies run rampant, players, now infected by vampirism, can only save the West and their own soul by joining the 'Darkwatch' ? a secret society even stranger than the undead monsters they battle.

Nothing exciting im afraid for all you FPS fans out there... Although its always nice getting a dark theme (sets a nice mood when playing at midnight) the game doesn't provide you with a believable (as much as it can do) environment.

The horse chases are rubbish, but the ingame movie sequences tell a nice tale.

It's worth a look if you want to play it, but don't buy it :o)

A good solid FPS that offers nothing new but still provides enough entertainment to warrant a rental. The enviroments and characters are well designed and the story fairly interesting, just don't expect to remember much about it a few weeks after you have concluded it

There is very little that makes this stand out, over the loads of other FPS out there. The demon/western theme is not done well enough. The weapons are not very imganitive, personnaly I would have prerferred real wild western guns, than the 'darkwatch' ones. You play a outlaw, turned into a vampire, yet you don't see any other vampires, which could have been good for aiming for the heart etc. The demons and skeletons are can be killed quicker by aming for heads and blowing arms off, but mostly just by shooting them loads. You have choices on makiing you more evil or good like releasing trapped souls and either killing infected people or sucking it out. Yet except for a bunch of powers they give you (I only used these twice through the entire game so they are a waste of time) I see no difference in gameplay, and couldn't be bothered to play it over again if the story changed by being evil.

Not bad or good just average.
