Brief synopsis of Virtua Tennis World Tour

Virtua Tennis World Tour features a playable array of internationally renowned tennis pros in addition to a make-your-own player mode, exclusive mini-games, and original courts. Wi-Fi gameplay is supported, encouraging up to four friends to play together. Virtua Tennis World Tour features three core gameplay modes: World Tour, in which players travel the globe using a custom-created character to win cash; Exhibition, where players can take control of a pro tennis all-star for one-off matches; and Tournament, which puts players in knockout sessions where only the best will see victory. Fun to play for minutes or hours and always challenging, it's easy to see why Virtua Tennis World Tour is perfectly suited for the PSP system.

Virtua Tennis: World Tour is a feast for the eyes. The game utilises PSP's super-smooth graphics excellently, and also is very easy to pick-up and play.

All games are reasonably short, allowing for quick games on the bus, and the system also auto-saves which is important for the same reason. Lots of sub-games, which are good fun to play.

Only drawback so far is that it can take quite a while to get anywhere on the Tour, and you have to do some of the training exercises again and again which can get a bit tedious.

Overall, an excellent game though.

Graphics - 9/10 (Very smooth)

Sounds - 7/10 (No soundtrack, realistic grunting and ball noises!)

Playability - 9/10

I enjoyed playing this game, and found it good fun. There are a lot of different modes to chose (singles, doubles, tournaments etc)from with real world stars as selectable tennis players (and tim henman!). Theres also a world tour mode which I found to be great fun as you starts with your own created male and female tennis players and have to play in various training games to increase your stats. the training games range from things such as serving to knock down bowling pins and returning balls to destroy tanks. these are fun and as your stats increase and you enter tournaments your ranking will increase from its initial level of 300. this alows you to enter more tournaments and win prize money which you can use to buy better equipment for your player, or unlock things such as new courts to play on.

all in all this is a good fun game, but I found that after a week I was starting to get a bit bored of it and probably wouldnt play it much in the long run, which makes it ideal for rental!

about as much fun as having pins stuck in my eyes. the one star was for that fact that it worked.

Enjoyed the game, but was unable to save it - it kept telling me I did not have enough space on my memory card despite there being over 3.5Gb free!!
