my animal loving daughter loved this film. it is the 3rd in the doctor dolittle series.Maya has evolved considerably from the first film. Whereas she was then an antisocial nerd more interested in her science projects, she has transformed into the typical teenager. When she inherits her father's capacity for communicating with fauna (she is a part-time veterinary assistant), her life is turned upside down on all fronts. She routinely lands in trouble with her mother Lisa, while her friends think she's gone batty.Lisa sends her daughter to 'Durango', a dude ranch, to find herself. While there, Maya, who desperately tried to keep it under wraps so as not to arouse suspicion, uses her talent to 'talk to the animals' in order to save Durango from being taken over by a neighbouring ranch.Maya Dolittle is at first reluctant to reveal her real identity fearing rejection from her friends, but finally reveals who she is. With her help the Durango ranch enters a rodeo competition with a $50,000 award and wins it.well worth renting out.

I thought this would star eddie Murphy but this leaves off from the last movie somewhat later has his daughter has become a vet that can hear and speak to animals, Same plot but fails miserably somehow

Still a funny film without eddie murphy in it. But it was missing him in it and the animals stole the show so a 4 stars good but not excellent

Plenty of laughs. This film kept us all amused because there was always something going on and happening throughout it. Not the same without Eddie Murphy though, it was a real shame not to see him in it this time. If you've got kids rent this film now!

Found this film good but preferred the other ones. Just wasn't the same without Eddie Murphy. This was more like Dr Dolittles Daughter 1.
