This series is very watchable. It has a good cast Sue Johnston being the most recognised and as always she plays a great part. The title says it all, its about two sisters wanting to escape from their boring lives and try new things, which they certainly do.

This lady is fantastic. Got this disc just to see her to be honest but the show, which I missed on TV, was quite good really.

Worth a watch.

Rated - 5 starsGood British Drama

Had to watch this again - saw it a while back. This is a light drama but with a good story and well acted.

It's about a family in the 60's Sue Johnston playing the overbearing, bitter matriarch brilliantly. The story twists and turns with a few surprises in store about the reationships within the family.

I'll watch it again some day I loved it.

This is a true to life production, of a band trying to make it and two sister who couldn't be more different falling for the same guy. very funny in parts but also sad in others. an unexpected hit!

Much better than average TV series, showing life in 60s Salford and how two girls get involved in the music scene.
