He comes from the planet Gallifrey, belonging to the race known as 'Time Lords'. He, a friendly, mysterious time-space travelling alien who calls himself 'the Doctor'. He journeys through time-space in a craft called the TARDIS (an acronym that stands for 'Time And Relative Dimension In Space'). In his TARDIS, the Doctor can travel anywhere - he can move through space, forward in time, backward in time, sideways and throughout our current time and in and out of parallel universes.

In his travels, the Doctor (David Tennant) and his travelling companion Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) have encountered many alien species - some friendly and some very, very nasty ones.

You are in for the trip of your lifetime.

Tooth And Claw:

The Doctor and Rose travel back to the year 1879 when an encounter in the Scottish Highlands with Queen Victoria and a band of Warrior Monks reveals a deadly trap, dating back centuries.

School Reunion:

Why is a Secondary School being investigated by the Doctor's former TARDIS companion, Sarah Jane-Smith (aided by an electronic mobile computer, K9)?

The Girl In The Fireplace

Madame de Pompadour finds the court at Versailles under attack from sinister clockwork killers. Her only hope of salvation lies with a mysterious stranger known simply as the Doctor.

.. and what a great piece of television this is. Great acting, great story telling and superb direction make this DVD a must-have. David Tennant brings a different dimension to the Doctor - he is more emotional which makes him a much more likeable 'anti-hero'. K-9 is back in 'School Reunion' as is a companion from the 'old' series which is a nod to the old fans and introduces them both without alienating the newer fans. 'Tooth and Claw' is just mesmerising, scary and coupled with guest star Pauline Collins, makes for avid viewing. 'The Girl in the Fireplace' is emotional, funny and edge of your seat drama which, I feel, sums up this new series of Doctor Who. Rent this DVD now.
