Brief synopsis of Feed

Provocative, shocking and utterly compelling, FEED is a daring, stylish and totally uncompromising psychological thriller that employs the conventions of the serial killer genre to tackle the controversial world of internet voyeurism. Laced with a deep vein of dark humour and a brilliantly ironic use of hit pop songs, FEED is guaranteed to disturb and entertain in equal measure.

Rated - 1 starsTruly awful

This film has a lot of mixed reviews so I thought I’d give it a try and make my own mind up. However, I wish I’d never bothered. Even for a budget film this is far below standard. I can, just about, understand why some would compare this film to se7en. It portrays a cop from Australia, who himself in an unhealthy relationship, taking it upon himself to track down a psychologically disturbed man in the U.S who wish’s to re-live the unhealthy relationship with his overweight bedridden mother. He feeds women literally to death, whilst filming it on the internet, in what seems to be some sort of punishment for the woman- whilst the guy gets off on it . However, this film is truly awful. The plot is simplistic, the acting very, very bad, and the directing very poor. The only possible reason to watch this film is this: to gain an understanding of just how awful films can be.

Rated - 4 starsbrilliantly gross

I had to stop eating at one point. Not a lot turns my stomache, but this managed it.

Reminded me of a cross between Se7en and 8mm, both of with were great films. The acting is good, the camera angles alright, and has a good mix of music in it which occasionaly made me chuckle.

This is a great film, but probably not for a night in with the wife... It doesn't set much of a romantic tone...

Rated - 3 starsEdgy, very edgy not a film for the weak!

Nicola from Sleaford,Lincolnshire [Highly rated reviewer] , 22/10/2006

if you read this and have read any of my reviews then you will, notice i have watched some quite strong, and notorious movies, this is among that crowd.

This takes in the notorious case of the german internet cannibal, then descends into forced feeding people for entertainment, with a twist just check what the victim is being fed?

And ends up with a reverse of the whole situation, not entirely female freindly this contains strong sex nudity, and a weird 70s-80s bubblegum soundtrack, for fans of edgy cinema, not one for the family or to sit down with people of weak dispositions.

Made in Australia and has a weird washed out colour to the film,no extras but at least it came in 5.1 surround.

Rated - 5 starsOriginal and disturbing

A customer from you'll_never_eat_burgers_again , 05/11/2006

To those people who gave this film a low score because they found it disturbing - well what did you expect? Its a horror about obesety and cannabalism!

FEED is thouroughly original, sick, twisted, and has one of the most satisfying horror film endings in a long time. The film focusses on the slow descent into madness of a internet website cop as he tries to shut down extreme fetish sites across the world. He comes up against a psychotic adversary who is more than his equal and the ensuing game of cat and mouse is rivetting. I wasnt expecting a lot from this film but loved it.
