The problem I have with sequels, is that expectations are set from the original and filmmakers are expected to go one better. Often they fail. Luckily for us they still try. Following Ice Age 1, this had to be good, really good.

After some years living in peace in a new pack, our old friends Sid, Manny and Diego discover that the ice is melting and a flood will cover the valley they now call home. Soon they organize a migration, but the trip won't be easy, especially for Manny, who begins to believe that he is the last Mammoth on earth.

It’s a terrific animation, the delightful vocal performances of all the actors involved, and its irresistible imaginative charm. The old fashioned concepts of love and brotherhood do make their expected appearances but they are short and sweet and fit brilliantly in the film. In fact they are explained mostly through humour and this makes this film a near perfect family entertainment.

A rare great sequel, a film that exceeds expectations and delivers to its maximum potential. This movie is an absolute must see.

Plenty of funny jokes and this film is as good as the 1st.

This cartoon movie is the follow-up to Ice Age and follows a group of Animals as they try and cope with the Ice Caps melting. This movie was ok, it kept the kids entertained for an hour or so, but the truth is that there was nothing new or exciting about it. Great animation as usual standard nowdays, it could just have done with that bit more goodness to make you say WOW!

Rated - 4 starsThey've done it again.

Sid, Manny, & Diego, return for another entertaining film, this time trying to escape the on coming 'Melt Down', the timeline has jumped forward a long way without the lead characters aging in the slightest, but that's by the by, the films still full of laughs a plenty and introduces some intriguing new characters.

The animation is superb and it's brilliant to see Scrat more in the limelight this time around, even if he doesn't play an integrale part to the film itself, it's still highly amusing to see his quest for his nut!

This is the type of film that can be enjoyed by all ages as there are plenty of in jokes for both children and adults, I would definately recommend this film to everyone.

Highly enjoyable movie. This film was watched in our household by people aged fifteen to eighty eight and all found it very, very good. To my mind Scrat was the star as any time he appeared on screen hilarity was guaranteed. Most warmly recommended.

Rated - 5 starsTotal Meltdown

This is absolutely hilarious. I especially liked the squirrel and the hazelnut. The storyline was terrific. There is a hidden message behind this animation. That we, as humans need to value what we have, before it is too late. The humour maybe too adult for younger kids to understand, but on the whole job well done!
