Rated - 2 starsMadagascar 2 ? Barely

It was always going to seem derivative.

Random collection of animals leave New York Zoo for a trip to "The Wild". OK, it wasn't Madagascar (wrong side of Africa), but it was similar. Except it was lacking life, pace and the jokes for both adult and children alike which characterised Madagascar.

Saving graces? The little ones liked it, even if the Indian pigeons weren't understood, and Eddie Izzard's ever so camp koala stole the show.

They're making a sequel to Madagascar. I doubt they will make a sequel to this film.

Possibly the funniest film I've seen in a long time. Great graphics, a really engaging storyline and some of the funniest scenes I think I've ever seen... 'Look I'm a starfish'

Madagascar, Nemo, Lion King etc. throw them all together and this is what you get without being half as good . Awesome animation though, and the kids like it.

This film reminded me of 'Madagascar' but a cheaper version of it, it also lacked the humour that 'Madagascar' had. Ok for young kids but not sure if the older ones would see the appeal when compairing it to other better quality films.
