Brief synopsis of Tupac Shakur - Thug Angel - The Life Of An Outlaw

Much has been written and filmed concerning the tragic and violent death of one of hip-hop's most influential artists, Tupac Shakur. The rapper-actor, who proclaimed himself a "thug," had a visceral urgency and passion in his talent which attracted millions of fans. THUG ANGEL stands out among the numerous documentaries about Tupac because of its inclusion of previously unseen footage including that of Tupac at age 17. Directed by the Oscar-nominated Peter Spirer, the film includes long interviews with friends and colleagues including Snoop Doggy Dogg and Suge Knight.

Don't ask me why I got a documentary on someone I don't particularly like out? If you are a fan, I guess this stuff interests you, just it didn't me.

Rated - 5 starsBrilliant and Complex

This film is far better than any of the other Tupac bios I've seen. For one thing, it contains great in-depth interviews with Shock-G, and others close to Tupac; and these detail his faults as well as his assets, portraying him as the brilliant, artistic, complex, individual he really was, not as a cardboard idol. If you want concert clips, this is not your flick. But if you want interviews with Tupac and his friends that you won't see elsewhere, check it out.

Rated - 2 starsCouldn't get into it

Sorry, after 15mins of this one I turned it off as I couldn’t get into this at all.

I thought I would give it a go as it was recommended (by a 17yr boy). Maybe more for they’re age group than a 30ish.

I got this out for my partner that likes Tupac. So I never got to see it, but he said it was good to watch and worth a rent.
