Brief synopsis of Frasier - Complete Season 5

With its witty dialogue, sophisticated character development, and classic slapstick situations, FRASIER is a prime example of television comedy at its finest. Centred around pompous psychiatrist Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) and his call-in radio show in Seattle, the series' brilliant ensemble cast includes his prim and proper brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce), their gruff retired-cop father Martin (John Mahoney), live-in home care assistant Daphne (Jane Leeves), brassy radio producer Roz (Teri Gilpin), and a charismatic Jack Russell terrier named Eddie. This collection includes all 24 episodes of the award-winning fifth series, which features guest appearances by Bebe Neuwirth, Marsha Mason, and Patty Lupone.

More fantastic quips, put-downs and farcical misunderstandings in the ongoing comedic genius that is Frasier. Makes me want to call my son Eddie (after the dog).

love this, so much better than most run of the mill comedies. think the characters are wonderful. the writing makes it what it is. comes across as dry just like some of the characters. think the chemistry between frasier and his father martin is superb as is the case with all of the cast. never get tired of watching this.

Rated - 4 starsgreat stuff

Really enjoyed re-visiting the Frasier menage, Great witty farce material that guarantees half an hours amusement and relaxation - benefiting no doubt from not being part of the million and one re-runs that are on freeview these days. I appreciate the acting of David Hyde Pierce (Niles) in particular more and more. To keep the standard so high after 5 series aint half bad!

Rated - 4 starsa classic sitcom !!

Still a very high quality comedy, with loads of witty lines and plenty of real gems in this series.

It's the first Frasier series which seems to rely a lot on ongoing story lines, so a few episodes lack the usual wit, but overall still a great series.
