Brief synopsis of Brain Dead

The Eunice Corporation is on the ground floor of an exciting industry--memory resculpting. It envisions nationwide clinics where anyone can lose the hang-ups of an unhappy childhood, a failed romance, or a botched career. At Eunice's "New You" outlets, a simple operation will give customers peace of mind...or no mind at all. Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton star in this bizarre thriller, written by Charles Beaumont, one of the original TWLIGHT ZONE scribes.

Rating of 3 stars out of 5 Radio Times

Neurologist Bill Pullman is blackmailed by business friend Bill Paxton into studying the case history of paranoid accountant turned serial killer Bud Cort in order to unlock the secrets in his mind. After brain surgery and shock therapy, however, Cort switches personalities with Pullman, turning director Adam Simon's enjoyably quirky Twilight Zone update into a crazed splatter romp. Dreams within dreams, nightmare flashbacks, terrifying visions and people running around with brains in jars keep the pace lively and interesting even if it is hard to follow exactly what's going on.

There were some pretty poor films made in the late '80s stroke early '90s... not bad exactly, just dully average.

This is one of 'em.

A 45 min episode of the twilight zone it would make... arguably... but a movie of twice that length... you're having a laugh. Except you're probably not.

The twist at the end is hackneyed to the extent that it took me totally by surprise... They can't possibly use THAT old twist you'll think... and then they do... and you'll think 'oh, that's dull' and get on with you life... safe in the knowledge that however mundane and petty you're daily tribulations are they're probably not as pointless as this film.

Bill Pullman and bill Paxton phone their performances in!! A dull and incredibly cheap looking moive that is just too mundane to see!! Far too cheap, too obvious and a waste of good actors in pullman and paxton. avoid.

But unlike everyone else i found the concept quite eerie, and as it is happening in hospitals right now, it makes it easy to believe that this may happen soon. Not the best of acting but thought provoking

Please do not get this confused (as I did ) with the Peter Jackson movie. This film is terrible, arguably the type of movie that should only ever be shown on the Horror Channel.

Dreadfull!!!!!
