The Marquise de O is only film I've seen in this collection, and I have to say that Mr. Rohmer has done it again - produced an almost completely static film full of talking and nothing else. However, on the plus side, there are some pretty good performances here and some captivating uniforms and frocks, which kept me happy up to the first hour, after which point I could stand no more and had to switch off. In brief, if you don't like action films, then Eric Rohmer is your man !
