Brief synopsis of The Last Kiss

From Academy Award-winning screenwriter Paul Haggis (Crash) comes a film about close-knit, twenty-something college friends who are reaching an emotional crossroads in their lives. Zach Braff (Garden State) heads an all-star ensemble cast that includes Jacinda Barrett (Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason), Casey Affleck (Oceans 11) and Rachel Bilson (The O.C.). Michael (Braff) is about to turn 30 and everythings going well in his life. He has a great job, a great group of friends and is living with the girl of his dreams. But when he meets Kim (Bilson), a young college student, he starts to doubt where his life is going and whether he's ready to commit to this life. Funny and romantic, The Last Kiss is about love, lust, fidelity and ultimately growing up.

I'll keep this brief: this film was bad. Not bad in a good way either, just BAD. The acting's fine and it looks great, it's just those pesky things the script and characters - a bunch of well off middle class white guys (the only black guy is the gay neighbour - token alert!) who moan about their relationships with hot women and their lives being planned out. I hate it when you KNOW you're going to buy a million dollar home with a model type lady, don't you?! Some of the characters could easily be chopped out of this and you'd never know it or, more importantly, care. OK, this is going on a bit but I can feel the venting doing good. To summarise - baaad, totally implausible script and dreary, self-obsessed characters. Sold!

I'm a hugh fan of Zach Braff and scrubs, but this film was terrible. I did not warm to any of the charactors and struggled to watch the end. Give this one a miss.

Rated - 4 starsGood movie

I actually saw this on a plane last week but the end was cut as we were landing. However I thought it was a good, thought provoking film with a decent soundtrack too.

Well worth checking out - but be careful guys if watching with your wife or girlfriend..!

An enjoyable but shallow affair that seems to dwell too much on the relationship of Braff and Bilson when the other characters could have been developed so much further. A bit long as well - the film could have benefited with more ruthless editing. Overall though a great movie that veers away from becoming a chick flick in the true sense of the phrase!

It was a good movie. Funny at times. Could tell what was coming next and not much of an ending. I like sweet rom coms, i was pleased with rental but would of been better.
