Brief synopsis of Hoodwinked

It was a crime that rocked the fairytale world. Now Granny's woodland cottage is being turned into a crime scene as all the familiar storybook characters are called in for questioning. Shocking truths are revealed, casting doubt on everything you once held as true; does Little Red Riding Hood have a darker side? Is Granny living a secret life? Could the wolf simply be misunderstood? And what were the woodsman's real motives?

Re-telling of the old fairytale Little Red Ridinghood. Not much of a review this one i'm afraid, as I didn't watch it, but my kids did and say that it was ok. They weren't over the moon with it, but did sit with it through to the end.

In places this was a very funny movie indeed, the little red riding hood retold theme works brilliantly and slots in some great characters and villains,it does feel a bit stretched and padded, but it is definately worth a watch.

So you thought you knew the story of Little Red Riding Hood? This has several lovely twists on the old story and there are several rib-splitting funny scenes (The Goat, The Axe-Man) And the rest is very good fun, lots of Hollywood in-jokes (Watch out for 'Chopping for Actors' etc). I was sort of worried at first since the animation quality is not to Pixar standards, but the jokes came thick and fast and I loved it. Kids younger than 6 will probably just not understand it! Great for older kids including teenagers. No problem for adults either.

This is a unique way of re telling Red Riding Hood (What were those blue tree trunk legs about?!!) but very boring. I had to force myself to watch the end, which was disappointing as the trailer had proved promising.

The plot revolves around who is stealing the secret goodie recipes and closing down all the businesses in the forest. Cue a Poirot style investigator in the shape of a frog and the opportunity to see the story repeatedly told from the point of view of the major characters.

Best bits? The singing/yodelling goat and the tortoises shouting 'Run' and then going SO slow.

Save yourself some time and give this a miss. DULL!

It is SO obvious who the villain is from the start, but if you want to know it's...............(You've been Hoodwinked! Not telling! Watch it to find out but you will only need 10 minutes!)
