Terrible game

Dull, terrible graphics (PS1 is better!). If this is the best a Wii can do then mine is going back on ebay. Very disappointed.

Best Wii Release so far!

When I put my name down on the extremly long list to get a Wii I already knew there was one game I had to get. That Game was THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS. After weeks of horrible wait I finally got my Wii and a copy of ZELDA.

As soon as I started the game up I knew it was worth the wait. From the moment you start plaing ZELDA looks a feels amazing. The Wii remote is perfect for ZELDAS movements allowing you to slash with your sword, go fishing and even sumo wrestle all with the greatest of ease.

Another great addition to this new ZELDA adventure is that at times Link is transformed into a wolf and you have to play the game as an animal. All of the controls for the wolf charater corrispond brilliantly to Links controls so there is no need to learn a new system.

As I am still only part way through the game I cannot comment on all of it (I belive though there is still a huge amount more for me to discover) but what I haved played so far is superb. If you like ZELDA games or are a fan of RPG in general then THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS should be your first stop on the Wii.

Best game ever played - anywhere

I did not get my wii console for use as a 'proper' games console. Mainly for the bowling tennis etc that people who have never touched a video game in thei lives can and do play.

But zelda is just incredible. The sheer level of detail in the world is amazing. Rivers have fish (which you can catch) frogs, ducks etc. Flowers have insects buzzing round then. Pretty much everything is interactive from the vegetation and scenery to the npc characters.

There are so many different ways to play the game that I can't see anyone not enjoying it. You can blast through the main quest, or (as I'm doing) meander around the world finding all the secret areas and side quests.

The lighting system deserves a review all it's own. No other game I've ever seen on any platform has such realistic and varied light sourcing.

Everything fro the mist rising from the lake when it's warmed by the morning sun, to the underwater, blizzard, rain, dust lighting is perfect.

I've seen rpg games on ps3 and xbox 360. And they just don't compare. The action in zelda is smoother, faster and the whole game is just so amazingly good looking you som,etimes just find yourself standing still and looking around for the sheer hell of it.

I've played a lot of rpg games in my time - but this is far anaaway the best. I'd even place it above the original unreal - the first game to have unlimited sky.

You never get bored. Just when you think you have a handle on the plot something else happens and you go off on another tangent. From the wolf sections (complete with wolf senses) through the horse back battles - where you will find yourself leaning across the room to get the bloody orc on the big pig wit your sword. The more you play this game the better it gets.

And the world is huge.

Everythime I think I've got every conceivable gadget going - something else turns up and open up another level of the game.

Even the throw away parts are awesome. the fishing - both float and spinner, are so much better than any other fishing sim I've ever seen, it's unreal.

I have literally just spent hours paddling my canoe round the lake in the pursuit of the elusive hylian loach. And every body of water I come to get's fished.

If you only ever have 2 games for your wii. then sports and zelda are all you'll ever need.

Great game!

Within a few minutes of playing this game - i knew it was the type of game i would enjoy! so i decided to take the plunge and buy it!. I liked the Zelda gamecube games and the Wii version is even better!. The controls are pretty good and i love having the horse to ride as well. Zelda games always have great storylines and this version is no exception. The graphics are pretty good as well.

The most epic Zelda game yet

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the Wii's first flagship title. It was announced for the GameCube in 2004, but the wait was worth it.

This game is seriously epic; a 50+ hour story, plus a whole wealth of side-quests, and time-killing activities to partake in.

When assessing the game's graphics, it's important to take into account the platform the game was developer for; the last generation Nintendo GameCube. This game does not showcase the true power of the Wii, but it's still incredibly detailed, and in places, amazingly beautiful.

While this game might not live up to 360 and PS3 standards, graphically, its art style and attention to detail are enough to make it one of this generation's prettiest games. Whoever said that the game looks like a PS1 game seriously needs to go back and play their PSX again and take off their rose tinted glasses. The game is gorgeous.

Sure it takes a while to get into; it's an RPG, not an FPS. Yes there are lots of cutscenes, but it's nothing in the realm of Metal Gear Solid. If you're not interested in story, if all you want is action, then I suggest you look elsewhere.

However, if you're looking for one of the most immersive, beautiful and captivating Adventure games of all time, look no farther.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is truly a masterpiece of modern gaming.
