Brief synopsis of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Unfortunately this title is currently unavailable for rental. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Link is sent to bear a gift to the royal family of Hyrule, but things just aren't going his way, and before he can leave, tragedy strikes the village. He's yanked into a twilight gloom that has covered Hyrule. When he enters that strange and otherworldly realm, he transforms into a wolf and is quickly captured. Things aren't looking too cracking for our hero. Fortunately, a mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free (the game wouldn't be up to much if you spent the entire time stuck in prison, would it?). With the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows.

Twilight Princess is a game of epic proportions. This is demonstrated fairly early on when you are charged with travelling through four different areas to collect stolen tears of light in order to push the invading twilight out of each area. These tasks seem to span all of the known world, but later on in the game it becomes clear that there is a great deal more map than originally assumed. To sum up: this game is big - very big.

This game was well worth waiting for, it as all the usual puzzels, weapons and monsters to distroy with many more new and exciting ones, and the best part is when you die they dont send you all the way back to the begining, so you dont get bored and give up . ITssssssssss GREAT.

Link returns in one of the greatest gaming adventures ever!

Gamecube's swansong delivers an absorbing, breathtaking experience that is yet another jewel in the crown of the Legend of Zelda series.

Despite lacking the intuitive controls and slightly more polished visuals of its Wii counterpart, Twilight Princess for the Gamecube takes all of the elements that have made Zelda games so intrinsically unique and delivers well over 50 hours of amazing gameplay.

Darker in tone than any Legend of Zelda game bar perhaps Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess actually starts rather slowly. The opening sections amount to little more than tutorials as the player becomes accustomed to Link's surroundings and learns the basic controls, something which experienced Zelda campaigners may find slightly tedious.

Persevere, however, and the dark world of Hyrule and the Twilight realm soon present themselves. From this moment on, the game never looks back. Without giving too much away, we soon find Link transformed into a wolf and leaden with Midna, a guide of sorts who resembles a sarcastic version of Navi from Ocarina of Time. It is not long before the titular princess makes her appearance and a new enemy is revealed...

Building on the aforementioned Ocarina of Time and expanding it tenfold, the enormous dungeons, innovative items, numerous sidequests and huge game world combine to deliver an incredible gaming experience as our hero strives to save Hyrule once more. Considering this is a Gamecube title the visuals are outstanding, and Koji Kondo's music is as excellent as ever, enhancing an already enthralling storyline. The characters Link meets on his journey are amongst the most colourful in any Zelda game, and players will find themselves striving to find every single Piece of Heart, Poe and golden bug long after the final boss is defeated.

Do not be put off by those who have played 20 minutes of the game and given up. Stick with it and that Nintendo magic shines through, rewarding you with one of the greatest games you will ever play.

This game is awesome and one of the last best game that come out on the GameCube before the GameCube came to the end of its life.

This game was available new in limited quantity in Europe (in Japan it was available only via online as it was released at the same time as the wii version) and luckily I was one of the people that got out there and purchase one new sealed GameCube version for £35.00, I have decided to kept it New and Sealed with the HMV receipt in a airtight container not to sell although I have heard that this is now available in second-hand shops used for £45.00, Value of this is rising better then and faster then stock market… lol I have decided to buy a second-hand one to play.

If you have missed out on this true Gem for new and old comer to the Genre then I’d recommend that you buy/rent when available from Love-film if it is not available then I’d recommend buying or renting the Wii version (I also have this version) only major difference is that the wii version supports 16:9 display and can be played only with the Wii remote in conjunction with the Wii nunchuk, this adds a new twist to the game. Pure genius game play I’m sure I’m not the only one saying this, as you can see my follow games below oh and almost forgot my brother is also a big fan after playing my wii version he decided to go out and buy Wii version of this game for himself from Argos, and just like I did with the GameCube version he also kept it New and Sealed with the receipt in an airtight container.

Recommended to anyone I even recommended it to my girlfriend and she loved it
