Brief synopsis of SEGA Mega Drive Collection

Ah, remember the good old days of the Mega Drive? Altered Beast, Sonic The Hedgehog, playing after school with your best friends? No? Well you're probably not as old as we are then

Fortunately, Backbone Entertainment is giving you the opportunity to catch up (or replace all the games your Mum chucked out while you were away at university playing on your PSone). A veritable bevy of Sega classics has been faithfully reproduced for a meander into gaming history. With retro gaming growing ever more popular thanks to downloadable content - and the fact that games have been around long enough now for the word 'retro' to be applicable - PS2 and PSP owners are sure to be pleased with this tidy little bundle.

Also thrown into the mix are behind-the-scenes interviews with developers of the original titles, a handy museum area with interesting facts about the games, a hint area to help players stomp on those hard-to-beat bosses, and Sega arcade titles from those happy days of the early nineties.

Free cuddly bunnies from robot constructs of death in Sonic the Hedgehog! Smite evil demon-type things with your axe of gold in (you guessed it) Golden Axe! Change into strange ugly things that would make Lara Croft tremble in Altered Beast! Stab things as an awesome ninja in Shinobi III! Pootle around space in Phantasy Star! Make your Dad happy as he remembers the 'good old days'. And always, always remember: everything used to be better back then.

The collection included some of the old favorites and some quite frankly unknown games. The collection would be miles better if there were some of the great games. Worth a look at if you liked golden axe or sonic but if not don't bother.
