As a PES fan, you should definitely not get this game. It is based on the FIFA engine, but is even worse in terms of gameplay (I no it hardly seems possible but it is). I could not finish even one half of a game as it was that annoying to control.

Easy!!

I found this game quite difficult to start off with, but after a bit of practice, it started to get easy. It's easy to get Acheivements- so if you're looking for easy Gamerscore: you should get this game.

don;t bother

how anybody could say this was a good football game is beyond me .... all fifa's in recent years have been terrible.

I hate this game and for me it has confirmed ProEvolution as the best football series out at the moment .... even pro evo 6's rushed xbox 360 effort is lightyears ahead of this.

I'm sure the ultimate team mode is a great idea ( but when football games start introducing gimmicks, you know all isn't well) but i really don't want to have to play through matches to earn points

Bad Version of Fifa 07

I have been a fan of the FIFA series since FIFA 97, and yes some of the games in between 97 to 08 have been really poor, especially when you compare them against PRO EVOLUNTION. Anyway back to the game, Champions League is based on the FIFA engine, which I do not know which would explain a lot because the gameplay and the controls do not match any of the latest FIFA games. The style was just so awkward to control, so it felt as though EA SPORTS had slipped backwards with this game. Graphically there was not much difference or improvement from Fifa 07, seeing as the game was released five months after. They decided to introduce some new features into this game that really did not pass of well at all. I think the only good thing I enjoyed in the game was the realism in the style of gameplay.

Overall the game feels like a poor and shorter version of FIFA 07.
