it seems this is one of those films that has been run through the vc-1 encoder and churned out with the hd-dvd logo.

All is not lost though some shots were very clear especially the explosions but dark areas struggled and made it hard to buy into the hi-definition experience because it has so many flaws, I hear you say its an old film? so is {the thing} but that didn't have problems like this plus there were no extras at all which suggests this has just been manufactured for the sake of it but its hardly gonna rock your world if you are looking for something to showcase to your understanding partners.

this isnt a true HD title just an upscaled tweaked version, lacking any extras, that could have been added,my region 1 special edition is just as good as this and has better sound options too not to mention the great extras.

this isnt worthy of renting or buying and studio canal should be ashamed of calling this HD.
