Brief synopsis of The Killing Floor

After moving into a penthouse apartment, a literary agent starts receiving crime scene photographs that appear to have been taken inside his new apartment. Could this be a prank designed to unnerve him, or is there something more sinister at play? The answer becomes clear when a series of surveillance tapes turn up at his door, documenting his every move. Psychological thriller reminiscent of 2005’s HIDDEN.

Sometimes renting a title just based on the movie's trailer can be a little risky when you know little else about it however I was pleasantly surprised by this. Whilst The Killing Floor does not do anything particularly new what it does do is present what could have otherwise felt cliched and present it in a fresh fashion. The acting is about passable for what is a mildly diverting and undemanding rental.

I really tried. Gave it a good half an hour but it wasn't really holding my interest enough so I gave up.

Bad script, bad dialogue, bad acting. Turned it off after 20 minutes, it was too painful to watch.
